Prospective Graduate Students
I am eager to build a lab group of motivated and productive aquatic ecologists and fish biologists. However, I will not accept graduate students without funding to support them. Funding opportunities either occur via teaching assistantships or research assistantships.
Please contact me by email if you are interested in pursuing a graduate degree under my direction. In the email, please include a brief description of your research interests, a CV, GRE scores (raw scores and percentiles), and an example of your writing.
I encourage prospective students to read these posts here, here, and here prior to sending me an email.

Prospective Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students interested in gaining research experience should send me an email to set up an appointment.
I always welcome undergraduates that want to obtain their hands-on experiences in conducting research or getting any type of research experience. I like to provide them with professional development opportunities in science and academia. Undergraduates working under my supervision are involved in all aspects of work ranging from reading articles, writing proposals, data collection in the field and the laboratory, data analysis, and publication.
